🌟 Litton Class Blog: A Week of Superstars! 🌟
What a fantastic and productive week we have had in Litton Class! The children continue to impress us with their hard work, excellent attitudes, and enthusiasm for learning.
📚 Inspiring Trip to Ripon Library
This week, we had the pleasure of visiting Ripon Library, and the whole Litton Class team was incredibly proud! The children's exemplary behaviour was noted by all staff members—well done, everyone!
Every single child came back with a book they absolutely adored, and it has been wonderful to see them thoroughly enjoying reading their new treasures back in the classroom. Keep up the brilliant reading, Litton Class!
➗ Magnificent Mathematicians
In Maths, we have been tackling the challenging concept of long division. This is a complex method that requires lots of patience, perseverance, and practice, and we have been so impressed with how far the children have come on their journey!
We are especially proud of Jude, who told Mrs. Gomes that she has changed his mind about long division! That is a huge achievement and shows the positive mindset everyone is developing towards challenging maths.
✍️ Exciting English Adventures
Our creative writing has been flourishing this week! We have created some truly beautiful and imaginative mythical beast descriptions, thinking carefully about our powerful language choices.
We have also started working on detailed setting descriptions using paired writing. The children have been trying hard to incorporate mythical language and use powerful prepositional starts to hook the reader.
Example of a prepositional start: Beneath the gnarled roots, the entrance to the hidden world glowed faintly...
💜 PSHE: Anti-Bullying Week
A huge well done to Litton Class for their fantastic work on the theme of Anti-Bullying in PSHE. This is such an important topic, and the children rose to the challenge of becoming educators themselves!
They planned, created, and delivered anti-bullying sessions to all the classes around the school. Their maturity, sensitivity, and clear message made a real impact on the younger children. We are so proud of the way they are taking responsibility for promoting kindness and respect throughout the school.
That’s all for this week! Have a wonderful weekend, Litton Class.
