Wonderful Wensley!

Welcome to another busy week in Wensley.

In Maths, we have been looking at data from charts, tables and graphs.  We have been thinking about some 'goal free' questions and guessing the types of questions that may come up.  Scarlett said 'It is much harder than it looks!'  It has been tricky but Wensley has shown great resilience and learning!

In English, we have been learning about the character of Varjak Paw and how his emotions change in a short space of time. Kacper said, ' His emotions are up and down like a rollercoaster.'  We are looking forward to finding out what happens next, as he explores the city.

In RE, we have been learning about Judaism. We have been looking at lots of different artefacts from the Jewish religion. It has been fun to look at them and explore why they are used and the significance behind the objects.

In Learning Means the World, we have been exploring the lengths Hatshepsut went to, to show the world that she was a Pharaoh.  She wore a fake beard and fake muscles to try and convince people that she was a man. All statues of her showed a beard, muscles and weapons. We have been linking this prejudice to the work we did on women's football and the prejudice they suffered, earlier in our topic of Walter Tull.
