Skell Class Blog

We have had a lovely Christmas week in Skell class.

The children enjoyed working in Santa’s workshop wrapping presents and decorating the Christmas tree.

They all did amazingly well singing in our Nativity and enjoyed performing in front of an audience!

Our Christmas party was fun, we had lots of super dancers 😀.

One of the best things this week was baking and decorating our gingerbread biscuits! Everyone thought carefully about how to decorate their biscuits and spent a lot of time creating them!

In English, we read the story Dear Santa, we thought about what we would like for Christmas and wrote letters to Santa. We received a Christmas present from Santa and guessed what it could be. ‘It is a book because it is a rectangle shape,’ said Dhruv. We opened it up and found a little gingerbread man. He visited us to see his gingerbread friends.

In Maths, we have had some special Christmas counting activities. The children did well, counting carefully how many elves were in the workshop, and helped the number blocks to count carefully and match the correct numeral.

In Phonics, we have recapped digraphs sh, ch, th, ng, nk and tried hard to match the pictures and words.

We all hope you have a wonderful Christmas filled with lots of fun and big smiles and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year!
