Wakeman Class Blog

Welcome to Wakeman's class blog.

This week we started our new learning in maths of multiplication and division. We started off the week by recognising and making equal groups. We have furthered this by learning our new multiplication symbol, and writing multiplication sentences.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Teddy Bears picnic on Monday. We hunted for our clue to unlock our picnic which was 'Peru'. We found out that our new learning was going to be all about Paddington in Peru. We looked to see where that was on a world map and found out it was in the continent South America.

In English, we have started our new book 'The Boy Who Cried Ninja'. We have compared similarities and differences between 'The Boy Who Cried Ninja' and 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf'.

In PE, we are thinking about our skills of Sending and Receiving. This week we explored the key vocabulary of 'dominant' and 'non-dominant' when exploring passing a ball to a partner. We found this interesting as everyone found a different side easier!
