World Book Day is on Thursday 6th March, and this year, we are having a non-fiction theme. We will be celebrating all things information, non-fiction and fabulously factual! Pupils will be enjoying book related activities all day, and this year, they have the opportunity to choose from different members of staff to read to them!

We are encouraging children to come dressed for the day as something that interests them, someone inspiring, or just something that has caught the eye in an information book; I've heard some great ideas so far - a few doctors, a biologist, a rock star, a teacher, an Olympian, police officers and even a geologist! This morning I discovered that Queen Elizabeth II is making an appearance! We would love to see the books that have inspired the outfits we see! Children have even asked if their parents can share a link to an online book they have read, which is a great idea!
