The Winds of Change!
The Eco Warriors went on some lunchtime litter picks last week. We went around all the playgrounds and fields and picked up every single piece of litter we could find. We recorded a tally of the litter we found in the different areas.
We were amazed to collect 417 bits of litter! We are going to challenge the children to reduce the amount of litter we find on our next litter pick. We will remind everybody to use the bins, and help to keep the school environment clean and tidy.

AT Tinity we are always excited when Open The Book led our worship! This week in Collective Worship Open The Book told us the parable story of The Wise Man and the Foolish Man. All the children interacted with actions, alongside the group of children acting to bring their story alive.
Thank you to Year 6 pupils who led a Digital Workshop for parents as part of our Safer Internet Week. Pupils prepared presentations for parents to guide parents through safer use of social media.
Parent's feedback
'A really super presentation by all the children. Very engaged when talking to us. The TikTock presentation was great!'
'Thank you so much for putting on such a wonderful event full of info. I have learnt quite a few new things and I thought I knew everything already!'
'I thought I knew a lot, but I learnt something I didn't know about Instagram, so thank you so much.'

Last week OTB came and led our Collective Worship. They told a story called The Big Party which tells the the parable of the great banquet!
On Thursday, we celebrated Michael Rosen Day as part of our focus on developing oracy across school. We are thoroughly enjoying exploring more poetry in school, and as part of this, we are growing in confidence when reading it aloud! We all participated in an online live session with Michael Rosen, where he shared ideas and performed some of his poetry - mostly about food!
In culmination of our great day, we came together for a celebratory assembly of the poetry we had written throughout the day. It was wonderful listening to children from Reception to Y6 read, perform and share their hard work. It was very clear that lots of fun had been had throughout the day! Reception wrote and performed a rhyme, Y1 and Y2 wrote and delivered acrostic poems, Y3 wrote food-related riddles (some really puzzled us), Y4 wrote great continuous poems which went from one child to the next, Y5's poems made us hungry and Y6 stood as a collective and performed an adapted version of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' with a food twist called 'We're Going on a Food Hunt' which we all loved and joined in with!
We are now looking forward to Young Poets Week from 24th November, when we plan to continue enjoying old, much-loved poems, as well as discovering fabulous new poetry!
