At Holy Trinity CE Primary School, we believe that Computing is not just a subject, but an essential life skill and the fourth pillar of education, holding equal importance alongside Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. As a welcoming community of faith, where we learn and flourish together, our curriculum is purposefully designed to ensure that every single child is consistently exposed to high-quality technology in an environment loved by God and one another. In a rapidly changing and evolving digital landscape, we are deeply committed to an inclusive approach where barriers are removed, allowing all pupils to achieve, find hope and aspiration, and truly flourish.

Our ultimate vision is to empower every child to leave us as a digitally literate global citizen, fully equipped with the confidence, adaptability, and resilience needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world. To realise this ambition, our curriculum is anchored in the Teach Computing taxonomy. By mastering the core pillars of Networks, Creating Media, Data and Information, Design and Development, Computing Systems, the Impact of Technology, Algorithms, Programming, the Effective Use of Tools, and Safety and Security, our students don’t just use technology, they shape it.

Recognising that each child is called to be a responsible member of a global community, online safety is not taught in isolation; it is seamlessly woven into the very fabric of our curriculum. By blending critical safety awareness with computing knowledge, we empower our children to explore the digital world securely, responsibly, and creatively, ensuring that each day opens up horizons of joy and safe discovery. Through this rich and dynamic experience, we foster the curiosity and problem-solving skills our pupils need to thrive both now and in their future lives as empathetic, digital citizens.
