Curriculum
Our curriculum is ambitious, inclusive, and carefully structured to ensure that every pupil, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities builds firm, solid foundations. Through high-quality, inclusive classroom practice and adaptive teaching, we remove barriers to learning so that pupils with SEND access the same rich opportunities as their peers.
Using a deliberately designed spiral curriculum, foundational knowledge and key basic skills are continually revisited, deepened, and mastered over time. We believe that true learning flourishes when children are actively engaged, which is why we intentionally prioritise practical experiences, rich discussion, and hands-on learning.
Grounded in our core vision where Aspiration, Success, and Joy ensure everyone flourishes, we cultivate an environment that nurtures individual talents and interests through broad opportunities. We place immense value on childhood essentials, enriching our academic offer with meaningful visits, outdoor learning, and unforgettable life experiences that broaden horizons and build lifelong character.
Our identity is proudly rooted in our unique heritage and diverse community. Ripon is steeped in history, and we actively weave links to local history into our learning, connecting children directly to the stories, culture, and landmarks around them. Furthermore, we embrace and honour our distinct local identity, reflecting our military connections and welcoming refugees in Ripon, fostering a deep sense of belonging, global awareness, and mutual respect. Through this rich, connected, and active education, we empower every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
