Local Academy Council

What is the Local Academy Councils in an Academy Trust?

The  Local Academy Council (LAC) through a scheme of delegation, has local responsibility for the governance and oversight of the Academy. The LAC at The Federation of Holy Trinity Church of England Schools  comprises a Foundation Governor, the vicar at Holy Trinity Church, elected parent governors and a staff representative. The LAC can also co-opt governors. The LAC has the responsibility for setting: the school vision and ethos; the strategic plan for the academy; the curriculum and staffing structure; and manage the budget at a local level working with the Trust’s Chief Finance Officer.

The school is a member of the Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust. Click on the LDLT Logo to find out more about our academy trust.
